Niece charged in Tacoma Craigslist hoax.

A woman is charged with three felonies for allegedly placing a fake Craigslist advertisement that caused people to strip her aunts house in Tacoma nearly bare in March.

28-year-old Nichole Marie Blackwell is scheduled to appear in Pierce County Superior Court on May 25th.

She will be arraigned on single counts of second-degree burglary, first-degree malicious mischief and first-degree criminal impersonation. The charging papers were filed last week.

Police believe Blackwell placed the Craiglist ad inviting people to come take what they wanted from the home to get back at her aunt, Laurie Raye. Raye had evicted Blackwells mother from the house.

According to court documents, Blackwell admitted to posting the ad under questioning from detectives.

Some people who saw the posting on the popular Internet site believed it to be true and ransacked the rambler, taking nearly everything, including the kitchen sink.

Raye says she's happy that someone has been charged in the case, even though Blackwell is a relative.
