Man Fighting Ticket Gets Prison Time For Lying

(AP) REDWOOD CITY, Calif. A 42-year-old man is facing up to four years in prison for allegedly lying to beat a $215 traffic ticket.

A San Mateo County, Calif. jury convicted Andrew Bamberg Friday of felony perjury and preparing false evidence for traffic court.

Bamberg was ticketed in 2004 for allegedly running a stop sign in Redwood City.

Prosecutors accused him of presenting photographs in court from a different intersection and later lying about the photos.

A lawyer for Bamberg says the officer who issued the ticket wrote down the wrong intersection.
